ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Involves working in factory environment which includes saw dust, heat, noise, fiberglass, electrical wiring and working at heights.
- Troubleshoots machinery and facility breakdowns and perform or direct repairs.
- Rebuilds pumps, pneumatic tools, power tools and process equipment.
- Inventory/Parts control
- Ensures startup of all pumps and process equipment for daily operation.
- Complete PM's on schedule.
- Involves some metal fabrication when needed.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment.
- Maintains a professional courteous manner.
- Follows established company policies and those outlined in the employee handbook.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Perform a wide variety work in the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.
- Effectively and safely operate forklift, scissor lift and various tools as required.
- May involve on-the-job- travel.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
- Requires knowledge as evidenced by high school diploma and college or trade school experience.
- Possess electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic trouble shooting skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctuality standards.
Physical Demands:
- Demands a relatively high degree of concentration and attention intermittently to troubleshoot and perform needed repairs.
- Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.
- Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires activities involving moving machinery, exposure to changes in temperature, and exposure to dust, and fumes.
- Work with electrical wiring and piping systems at elevated heights
- Requires ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs and step ladders.
- Must be able to wear respirator and protective clothing.
