Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborer to join our furniture manufacturing plant. This role is essential to maintaining smooth production operations and ensuring high-quality craftsmanship. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a factory or warehouse environment, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and teamwork. Prior experience with manufacturing processes, assembly lines, and the use of hand and power tools is highly desirable.
Duties
- Assist with the assembly and packaging of furniture components on the production line
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to move materials and finished products
- Use hand tools and power tools for assembly, repairs, and adjustments of furniture pieces
- Support the setup and breakdown of workstations to ensure continuous workflow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the manufacturing facility
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during operations
- Assist with inventory management by loading, unloading, and storing materials appropriately
Requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with assembly line processes is a plus
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is advantageous but not mandatory
- Experience using hand tools and power tools in a production setting
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of factory safety procedures and best practices
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks as needed
- Warehouse experience is beneficial but not required; training will be provided for specific equipment and procedures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
