Cell Phone Repair Technician Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnosis and troubleshooting mobile devices to identify hardware and software issues
- Use diagnostic tools and software to accurately pinpoint problems
- Replace or repair damaged components, including screens, batteries, charging ports, and buttons
- Clean and remove dust, debris, or moisture affecting device performance
- Skillfully disassemble and reassemble mobile devices, avoiding damage
- Conduct soldering or microsoldering to repair small components on circuit boards
- Retrieve data from malfunctioning or damaged devices, including photos, contacts, and files
- Thoroughly test repaired devices to ensure all functions work correctly
- Perform quality control checks to meet industry standards and ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain an inventory of replacement parts, tools, and supplies
- Keep meticulous records of repairs, including work performed, parts used, and customer information
- Stay updated on the latest mobile device models, technologies, and repair techniques
Cell Phone Repair Technician Requirements and Qualifications
