The Permit Coordinator is a vital role within a fast paced, large plumbing company located in Nassau County, responsible for managing the preparation and submission of building permit packages for projects for Nassau & Suffolk County.
The Permit Coordinator serves as a key liaison between our firm and various jurisdictional employees, ensuring that all necessary permits are obtained in a timely manner to facilitate project progress.
In this role, the Permit Coordinator will review and prepare permit packages in accordance with jurisdictional requirements, ensuring that all documentation is complete and accurate.
They will coordinate the payment and reimbursement of permit fees, working closely with internal teams to address any comments or issues raised by jurisdictional authorities.
The Coordinator will also collaborate internally to understand and resolve any corrections required by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
The Permit Coordinator will advocate for our company by working with local jurisdictions to streamline the permit process, ensuring that all local AHJ requirements are understood and met.
This includes maintaining an updated database of permitting requirements and organizing all completed paperwork in a compliant and secure manner.
Review, prepare, submit, and receive permit packages in accordance with jurisdictional requirements.
