What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Civil Engineer position at MacKay & Somps Civil Engineers, Inc.?
We are looking to fill a Junior Civil Engineer role in our Roseville, CA office. Qualified candidates with an interest in land development design, public infrastructure design, and/or hydrology and hydraulic stormwater and flood control modeling, or a combination of these, are encouraged to apply using the “Apply” link. B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited university is required. Certification as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is preferred. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Junior Civil Engineers work under the general direction of our experienced staff on a wide range of land development and public infrastructure projects including residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, and public infrastructure projects (roadways and utilities including sewer, water, and storm drain). Assignments may include AutoCAD Civil 3D design and drafting, assisting with preparation of plans and exhibits, performing quantity take-offs, preparation of cost estimates, assisting with hydrology/hydraulics calculations, and assisting with the preparation of construction staking data.
