Description
Cashiers promote Mackenthun's Exceptional Experience by greeting each customer with a smile and offering assistance, and working with other employees as needed.
Job duties:
- Mackenthun's Cashiers are expected to accurately process customer orders at the check out, accept payments, and provide correct change as necessary.
- Offer assistance, answer customer questions, make sure customer's purchases are promptly and properly bagged, this includes bagging groceries as needed.
- Maintain a neat and organized work station.
- Assist with stocking products and facing products on shelves.
- Assist with general store maintenance and cleaning.
- Cashiers may be cross-trained in the C-Store.
- Other duties as requested.
Requirements
- Must express a positive, friendly attitude, focus on customer needs and provide exceptional customer service.
- Must be able to work independently and as a team, have solid problem solving skills and excellent decision making capabilities.
- Must have an interest in selling food and promoting Mackenthun's Exceptional Experience for customers and coworkers.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior retail experience is preferred but not required.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Ability to prioritize and efficiently perform duties; be accurate, honest and dependable.
- Perform all duties in a manner that safeguards company property, resources and image.
- Must be able to work between 3 PM and 10 PM during the week. An open availability on the weekends is preferred.
