Maclay School is accepting applications for a Lower School Elementary Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. Maclay School is an independent, non-sectarian college preparatory school located on 100 beautiful acres in northern Tallahassee, about ten miles north of the state capitol building.
The Lower School program begins with a very special preschool for three- and four-year-old children. The state-of-the-art preschool building is filled with loving educators who want to make learning at Maclay fun. Just steps away, theJablonLower School provides a warm, family environment with a challenging college preparatory curriculum.

Qualifications
Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate Include:

A demonstrated growth-minded approach and commitment to continuous professional development

Facility and capacity with designing and leading whole group, small group, and individual instruction

Knowledge of and experience with the Understanding by Design framework

Expertise in using differentiated instruction to reach a range of learners

Knowledge of and experience with standards-referenced curriculum and assessment

Strong interpersonal communication skills and experience establishing robust partnerships with students, parents, and colleagues

Strong collaboration skills

Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, Master’s Degree preferred.

Prior experience teaching in the elementary school grades (k-5) (preferably in an independent school, or like-kind school setting)
