The CI-Value Stream Engineer is responsible for optimizing the complete value stream for Transmission Kitting / Packaging operations by aligning cross-functional teams, improving flow, eliminating waste, and supporting customer requirements through data-driven engineering, CI Methodologies and operational excellence.

Job Duties
Support CI Director, Managers, Supervisors, and Engineers in the implementation of Lean methods and Value Stream Management
- Conduct process / value stream mapping and lead improvement initiatives.
- Identify waste, bottlenecks, and flow constraints.
- Develop, implement, and maintain standard work.
- Work closely with TI Sales, Customer Service, Product Management, and Engineering to define customer and product requirements.
- Partner with IT on system enhancements, data integrity, and workflow automation.
- Collaborate with Finance to quantify cost impacts and validate improvements.
- Review and correct BOMs, routings, and engineering documentation.
- Provide DFM recommendations and support new product/process launches (Packaging / Kitting - Focus).
- Troubleshoot packaging issues, equipment, and flow issues.
- Lead cross-functional projects using Lean tools.
- Manage, risks, action plans, and deliverables.
- Pull and analyze ERP/MRP data for decision support.
- Support the development of KPIs, dashboards, and root cause analytics.
- Effective Communication & Influence
- Facilitate Kaizen events
- Drive alignment, accountability, and adoption of improvements.
- Leadership without authority
- Primary: On-site at MPS York, SC Plant Location with up to 20% travel to other locations
- Engineering degree (ME, IE, EE, or related).
- 3–7 years CI or engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Lean / Six Sigma & CI experience with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Effective communicator with the ability to positively influence and clearly explain concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with packaging solutions is a plus
- Experience in using solid modeling software such as SolidWorks and / or Driveworks is a plus
