Summary
We are seeking a Specialist to join our team at the Macon County Health Department. This role is vital in supporting our mission by providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to ensure smooth operations within our health programs.
Responsibilities
This position will play a vital role in providing assistance to Care Coordinators to support the case management of persons aged 60 and older in the community. Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, assisting with completion of mandatory Medicaid applications and follow-up, completing home visits to obtain necessary documents for Medicaid applications, reviewing notice of decisions and other paperwork received from DHS including requests for verification, and maintaining a Medicaid log documenting applications completed, follow-up needed and outcomes of applications.
Qualifications
- CNA or Med. Tech. Associate’s degree preferred, with two (2) years of experience required.
- Proven experience in customer support or client services, preferably in a health-related field.
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills for effective interaction with clients.
- Proficiency in data entry with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to analyze information and provide appropriate solutions or referrals.
