HR Administrator Job Description - MBM Hospitality
About the Role
MBM Hospitality is seeking an enthusiastic HR Administrator to support our team in Torrance, CA. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality HR services, fostering a people-centric culture, and supporting the employee lifecycle. The position requires on-site presence, and only local candidates with legal authorization to work in the US will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Employee Lifecycle Support: Manage onboarding processes, including offer letters, I-9, E-Verify, background checks, and new hire orientation. Handle offboarding, including separation paperwork and HRIS updates.
- Benefits and Compensation: Answer employee inquiries on benefits and pay, assist with open enrollment, life event changes, and maintain accurate HRIS data.
- Recruitment Support: Schedule interviews, screen applicants, coordinate with management, and support hiring needs.
- Compliance and Record-Keeping: Ensure compliance with California and US employment laws, maintain up-to-date HRIS records, and manage workplace postings.
- Administrative Duties: Greet visitors, arrange meetings, maintain conference room reservations, and support HR projects; set up annual reviews with associated paperwork on employee anniversaries.
- Reporting and Systems: Run recurring and ad-hoc HR reports as requested by management.
Qualifications
- 1 years of HR experience, preferably in a high-volume or fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP a plus), and basic employment law knowledge.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills with a focus on confidentiality and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and adapt to a dynamic workload.
- “Can-do” attitude, collaborative team player, and commitment to delivering positive employee experiences.
Compensation
- Hourly Range: $24-$26/hour, based on experience.
