What are the responsibilities and job description for the Education Technology Planning Specialist position at Madison-Oneida BOCES?
Education Technology Leader – Provide technology leadership, planning, and project management in collaboration with district leaders. Communicate effectively with district staff and regional leaders and support. Forecast, develop, and implement plans to purchase and maintain IT hardware and software. Maintain accurate inventory of hardware and software. Oversee technical projects and needs of district. Research and evaluate hardware and software to support instructional and administrative needs. Supervise, coordinate, implement, and manage technology projects as well as technology staff and technician’s workflow. Experience in an educational setting preferred. Administrative (SDL) and/or Teaching Certificate OR must meet minimum civil service job requirements: Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of experience in an educational or business setting involving planning and utilizing computer technology.
