Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, ensuring the protection of property and personnel while providing excellent customer service.
Duties
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Utilize surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to monitor activities in designated areas.
- Enforce rules and regulations to ensure a safe environment for all individuals on the premises.
- Provide first aid assistance when necessary; maintain a valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Document incidents, observations, and actions taken during shifts in detailed reports.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during emergencies or investigations.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Previous experience in security or law enforcement is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with loss prevention techniques is advantageous.
- Knowledge of conflict management strategies to effectively handle disputes or confrontations.
- Experience with surveillance systems (CCTV) is beneficial.
- A valid First Aid certificate is required; CPR certification is also preferred.
- Military background or training can be an asset but is not essential.
