Job Summary: The Manager of Product Strategy plays an integral leadership role within the Global Product Strategy organization, reporting to the Director of Global Product Strategy and Quality. The Manager of Product Strategy leverages their expertise in research and analysis to unlock growth opportunities. The is Manager of Product Strategy oversees Magid’s product portfolio strategy and builds plans for some of the company’s most impactful and innovative business initiatives. The role requires a leader who understands Magid’s vision (to increase worker protection, enhance worker productivity, and improve worker experience through innovation) and keep team members inspired and engaged to deliver that vision
Responsibilities:
- Manage Magid’s overall product portfolio strategy and product development roadmap in alignment with the company’s long-term growth strategy and focus on innovation
- Lead data-driven product strategy initiatives such as cost-savings, SKU rationalization and buy-to-make
- Conduct product line performance reviews and recommend adjustments to strategy to achieve goals
- Champion continuous evaluation of customer needs (VOC), market trends and competitor activity; adjust strategies as needed to capitalize on opportunities
- Own product pricing decisions to maximize profitability and maintain competitive advantage
- Oversee requests for the development of customized products and product alterations
- Develop processes and technology solutions that will improve the Global Product Strategy team’s efficiency and impact, such as supporting implementation of a PIM (Product Information Management System)
- Drive organizational alignment to product business plans
- Publish monthly product performance reports to leadership
- Lead the Product Strategy team members building a high-performance team
