Overview
Magna Steel Sales Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Structural Steel In-House Project Manager/Estimator/Inside Sales to join our growing team in Beacon Falls, CT. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing cost estimates for a variety of structural steel projects, including residential and commercial buildings, manage projects and inside sales. Magna is a small company and is seeking a person who works well with others and can multitask. This role requires a strong understanding of structural steel fabrication processes, blueprint reading, and cost analysis.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Inside/phone Sales
- Material Ordering & tracking job material
- Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other contract documents to determine scope of work and material requirements.
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for structural steel fabrication, erection, and related services.
- Develop detailed quantity take-offs for steel members, connections, and other materials.
- Obtain vendor quotations for various project components (e.g., detailing & galvanizing).
- Maintain organized and detailed records of all estimate documentation, including drawings, specifications, and pricing.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, detailers to ensure accurate and timely bid submissions.
Requirements
- Proven experience (typically 3 years) in construction and or structural steel estimating.
- Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection processes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural and architectural blueprints and specifications.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with estimating software (Microsoft Excel & Word, Outlook), ProCore, Blue Beam, Plan Swift helpful.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Pay: $88,069.00 - $95,853.00 per year
