ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Dispatch drivers for timely pickup and delivery of daily shipments
- Monitor airline cutoff times ensuring timely transfer of goods for expedited shipments
- Assign routes to drivers
- Coordinating recovery and delivery manifests for multiple drivers
- Help research and resolve operational issues involving private fleet
- Develop and maintain excellent customer service habits
- Assist with escalating vehicle maintenance issues as needed
- Ensure all outbound shipments are properly labeled for delivery
- Communicates clearly and constantly with internal teammates to ensure maximum operational efficiency
- Light dock work, assisting in loading, unloading trucks as needed. 1-2 hours per week
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Hard-working, team-oriented individual that thrives under pressure and against deadlines
- Holds self to the highest degree of personal integrity
- Able to multi-task and prioritize time and workload in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated; able to work both independently and within a team environment
- Demonstrated time management, organizational skills and consistent follow-through
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be extremely detail-oriented, multi-tasking is a must
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, proprietary in-house software, and online applications
- Geographical knowledge of the U.S
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The position is in an indoor, office environment, requires the ability to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors verbally and in writing, sit for periods of time, operate typical office equipment which requires seeing and the use of a keyboard.
