Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Med-Tech/Caregiver to provide exceptional patient care at Magnolia Assisted Living. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors and those requiring specialized memory or hospice care. This role involves supporting patients with daily activities, administering medications, and maintaining accurate medical documentation. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and HIPAA regulations to ensure the highest standards of patient confidentiality and care.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including mobility, hygiene, and feeding needs
- Administer medications and treatments accurately following physician orders
- Monitor vital signs and observe patient conditions to report any changes promptly
- Support patients with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer's, dementia, or memory care
- Document all patient interactions and treatments in medical records
- Maintain a safe and clean environment adhering to healthcare protocols and safety standards
- Assist with procedures and medical tasks under supervision
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients in various care settings
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, hospice, or home care environments preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration
- Ability to work compassionately with seniors and individuals requiring memory or dementia care
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a healthcare team
- Certification as a Med-Tech or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory; relevant caregiving experience is essential
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy
