Position Summary
The Director of Housekeeping Services works to ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
Posted Salary Range
USD $18.00 - USD $22.00 /Hr.Duties & Responsibilities
- Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs the House-keeping Department, its programs and activities within budget and on schedule
- Coordinates housekeeping services and activities with other related departments
- Assists the housekeeping staff in the development and use of departmental policies, procedures, equipment, supplies, etc.
- Determines departmental staffing requirements necessary to meet the housekeeping department’s needs and assigns a sufficient number of housekeeping personnel for each shift
- Evaluates safe work practices and supervises safety, fire protection, and prevention programs by inspecting work areas and equipment at least weekly
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must have at minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D; college credits preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital or other related medical facility.
- Must have training in environmental control practices and procedures; certification is preferred.
- Reliable transportation required
