We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for the daily care and management of animals in our facility, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for dogs and other animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
- Maintain cleanliness in all kennel areas by performing regular cleaning tasks.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to staff.
- Assist with animal restraint.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs and well-being.
- Handle various breeds of dogs safely and effectively, demonstrating proper dog handling techniques.
- Participate in training programs for dogs as needed, utilizing dog training skills to enhance behavior and socialization.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experiences:
- Previous experience in kennel settings or animal care facilities is highly desirable. (not required).
- Background in veterinary assistance or as a veterinary technician is a plus.
- Familiarity with pet grooming techniques is beneficial.
- Experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal restraint is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively engage with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger animals or equipment.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
