Job Summary
The Dining Services Director is responsible for the overall coordination and direction of all food service activities within the community they support. This position is a working manager and the expectation is that there will be cooking also involved. This position supervises and manages the activities of all the kitchen and dining services associates engaged in purchasing, preparing, and serving food within their respective community's Dining Services Department.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized dietary care plans for residents.
- Supervise dietary staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining quality food service.
- Manage budgeting for the dietary department, ensuring efficient use of resources while meeting residents' needs.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED required
- 3-5 years of experience
- Previous experience in an assisted living or healthcare environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
