MAID OF THE MIST CORPORATION is currently seeking a SEASONAL Warehouse Supervisor. The Warehouse Supervisor reports to the Retail Manager and is responsible for scheduling, training, and managing a small team of employees, including an Assistant Supervisor, two drivers, and approximately eight associates at full staff.
The Maid of the Mist Warehouse Facility receives, stores, and delivers merchandise, supplies, and equipment to company departments that include two retail stores, passenger facility, marine dry dock, and corporate office. Recycling of Maid of the Mist ponchos and fulfillment of Maid of the Mist Online Store retail sales is also conducted by the team at the warehouse.
The Supervisor will manage the day-to-day operations and work side by side with associates in assisting the execution of day-to-day tasks including unloading trucks, sorting, storing, picking and packing merchandise and supplies for distribution to other departments, ticketing merchandise for sale at the retail store, fulfilling and shipping online orders, folding t- shirts, baling ponchos, running reports, routine building and grounds clean up, drive company box truck and deliver shipments, run reports and computer inventory control software, operate a forklift and mechanical pallet jack, and climb ladders. The Supervisor must have a valid NYS driver’s license and will be required to go for a DOT physical to drive the company 22’ box truck.
Job Type: Seasonal (full time hours February-December)
Minimum Qualifications: Computer skills such as email, word document, Excel spreadsheet, and computer and physical inventory control system. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. continuously throughout the day. Supervisory and training experience, basic scheduling/payroll knowledge, clear, effective, and efficient communication, organizational, leadership, detail-oriented skills are essential. Must be able to drive 22' box truck. Minimum Age required for insurance: 23 years. Clean driving record, valid NY State Driver’s License. Physical required for DOT registration, and background check required. Forklift qualification upon hire.
