This role plays a critical part in supporting operations across both Riverside and San Bernardino counties. Position Overview
The Operations Manager is a senior leader that is responsible for guiding day-to-day activities, managing a team of drivers and support staff, and ensuring the operation runs safely, efficiently, and in line with customer expectations. This position blends team leadership, performance management, customer engagement, and process improvement. The right candidate will be a hands-on leader who can elevate operational performance while developing the people they lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of 20 drivers and operations personnel.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and routine HR-related functions.
- Monitor key performance indicators and implement improvements where needed.
- Conduct regular facility walkthroughs and maintain safety, compliance, and security standards.
- Resolve service issues, handle escalations, and maintain proactive communication with clients.
- Manage fleet needs, coordinate maintenance, and support operational projects.
- Work closely with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and operational planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Management, or a related field is required. Minimum of two years of leadership or management experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or a similar environment.
- Experience with hiring, coaching, and basic HR functions.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and lead in a fast-moving operation.
- Familiarity with routing software, delivery tracking tools, or operational reporting systems.
