Description
Graphite is searching for full & part time hosts/hostesses, anticipating opening date early December 2024. Looking for motivated individuals with outgoing personalities, strong work ethic, and the ability to adapt with an eagerness to learn. Our Host/Hostess will be the first point of contact for our guests! You will greet guests and escort customers to the dining and bar areas. Your goal is to ensure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they walk through the door!
Responsibilities
• Welcome each guest as they walk into the venue
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
• Take and manage reservations
• Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas
• Provide menus and introduce or provide guest with servers name
• Thank customers upon their departure
• Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
• Maintain a clean reception area
• Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)
• Answer incoming calls and address customers' questions
• Assist wait staff as needed
• Additional responsibilities as needed by the restaurant
Skills & Qualifications
• Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess or Server
• Experience in managing reservations
• Understanding of restaurant etiquette
• Demonstrable customer-service skills with Guest first focus and teamwork mindset
• Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area
• Able to walk and stand during an entire shift
