Job Summary

This position involves a deep understanding of various cash management products and services, tailoring solutions to meet the unique needs of each client. By providing exceptional customer service, and expert advice, the officer ensures clients can navigate their business banking with ease. The Cash Management Officer works to improve the Bank’s market position and financial growth through business development efforts. The Cash Management Officer supports commercial business channels by identifying new client opportunities and fostering and growing existing client relationships.

Essential Functions

  • Prospects for potential new clients and uses initiative and creativity to sell bank deposit products and cash management services to increase the Bank’s deposit base.
  • Attends networking functions and community events to build network and increase opportunities for prospects.
  • Meets potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging network. Asks existing client base for referrals and introductions to create new business opportunities.
  • Partners with Commercial team to present and sell bank deposit products and cash management services.
  • Sets-up meetings, plan approaches and pitches, develops proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Analyzes prospective bank/service statement to prepare Banking Services Proposals and formal request for proposal.
  • Handles objectives by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
  • Assists with managing client relationships involving multiple and complex product lines. Ensures quality service and prompt problem resolution.
  • Prepares and tracks the execution of all necessary forms and agreements needed to fulfill new customer deposit and cash management services complying with Bank policy and compliance regulations.
  • Performs annual Cash Management Service audits for applicable Cash Management services
  • Establish new deposit accounts as needed following Bank account opening procedures/policies.
  • Installs or coordinates installation of various ancillary deposit products in compliance with bank operating procedures.
  • Schedules and initiates client training on use of bank deposit products and services, including Internet Banking, ACH, Wires and Remote Merchant Capture.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Skills, And Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in customer service, banking, sales, or lending preferably in a financial services environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to be punctual with scheduled work and use time appropriately.
  • Perform duties in a conscientious, cooperative manner.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Ability to comply with all Bank policies and procedures, including BSA and Information Security policies.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect the Bank by keeping information concerning Bank operations and customer information confidential.
  • Able to consistently treat others with respect; keeps commitments; inspires the trust of others; works ethically and with integrity; upholds organizational values; accepts responsibility for own actions.?
  • Commitment to achieving personal and team growth and success through an understanding and commitment to the Bank's sales culture goals.

Physical Requirements And Working Conditions

  • Must be able to spend extended periods of time operating a computer keyboard and working at a computer monitor.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time while waiting on customers.
  • Must be able to lift approximately 20 pounds on occasion.
  • Requires periodic travel to-and-from client locations and within the Bank’s geographic area.
  • Workspaces are generally comfortable and pleasant.
