Title: Computer Technology Instructor
Bargaining Unit/Salary Level: Salary and Benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MEA Faculty Unit. Pay range is low 50s, based on credentials.
Responsibilities: Central Maine Community College seeks an instructor to teach in the Computer Technology program. This is a full-time faculty position primarily responsible to teach 15 credit hours per semester and begins teaching responsibilities in the Fall 2024 semester. Curriculum currently includes web development, introductory programming, networking, and network security. Courses are delivered in-person during the day and evening, online, hybrid, or a combination. In addition to instruction, position responsibilities include student advising, curriculum development, assessment and other related duties.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- 3-5 years’ experience in the industry
- Knowledge of HTML and JavaScript, Python, Java, C, C , CompTIA Network , Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Security , EC-Council CEH, or equivalent.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g. CompTIA Network , CompTIA Security , etc.)
- Experience teaching college-level computer courses
- Experience in a community college environment
- Involvement in professional organizations and networks related to computer technology
