Beer Sales Representative

A Beer Sales Representative sells beer and other beverages to on and off premise accounts in Maine Distributors designated territory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

These essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• The representative travels through an assigned territory to collect and write orders for on and off premise accounts.
• Representatives follow sales processes, procedures and execute merchandising standards in all accounts.
• Overall responsibility for ensuring proper rotation and product freshness.
• Stocking and rotating warm/cold product storage areas and retail shelves.
• Build and maintain displays with proper signage and point of sale.
• Be an active participant in the planning and execution of account objectives.
• Maintain route information, reports and surveys.
• Attend sales meeting and special event scheduled on a monthly basis.
• Properly maintain all communications through email, phone calls and text messages.
• Maintain company vehicle. Keep clean inside and out to uphold quality image
• Neat personal appearance (i.e. collared shirt etc.)

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, margins, profit, percentages, area and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic Apple based products and basic computer skills.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Valid State of Maine driver's license. Maintain license in good standing with the State of Maine.

Pay: $58,000.00 - $66,000.00 per year
