Maine Public Employees Retirement System (MainePERS) seeks a friendly, energetic, and organized person to join our Member Services Representative team. The candidate must have an attention to detail and be able to multi-task and redirect focus with frequent phone interruptions. MainePERS is an established, professional and dynamic organization that manages a variety of employee benefits for Maine’s public sector workers.
Primary responsibilities focus on quality customer service in assisting our members (State, Teacher, and Participating Local District employees) at various stages of their membership. The work may include receiving paperwork and ensuring its completeness and accuracy; processing changes; retrieving account information for members and explaining the information to them, both over the telephone and in person. In addition, the position provides operational support by processing member requests including gathering information and verifying completeness prior to forwarding the results into the workflow process.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum qualifications:
- A high school diploma is required plus four (4) years of responsible, self-directed work experience in an office environment.
- Demonstrated successful customer service experience by phone and/or in person Familiarity with using Windows or web-based computer applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates Degree
Salary begins at $37,544 annualized.
