About Us: Maine Standard Biofuels is a locally owned and operated, people-based small business focused on reducing waste and making biobased products such as Biodiesel, Bioheat, our Wicked Strong line of cleaners and our Solvitall line of industrial-biobased chemicals. As the only commercial biofuel manufacturer in the state of Maine, our company aims to lower the carbon footprint of our state by reducing emissions, lowering the use of traditional chemicals, and recycling waste such as used cooking oil and brown grease. Est. in 2006, Maine Standard Biofuels is rapidly growing and is seeking an addition to our team in a new position as a field service technician.
Summary: To operate and maintain facility equipment, to ensure customer satisfaction at partner-restaurants and facilities and maintain equipment for our partners.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assures customer expectations are met, follows daily work-flow by ensuring all scheduled duties at each facility have been completed.
- Communicates with management in regard to schedules, customer satisfaction, and compliance-based work daily.
- Maintains and controls the physical condition of company and partner-restaurant and facility equipment.
- Maintains policies, procedures, and guidelines consistent with company policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
What a Day Might Look Like:
- Pressure/Power Washing equipment at our shop or at partner-restaurants facilities.
- Shadowing with drivers, learning routes and how to clean grease.
- Maintaining company-owned equipment, painting, cleaning and building.
- Bringing new containers to partner-restaurants, fixing broken components.
Notes: This is a physically demanding job. It is majority outdoors but indoor labor is expected as well. You will be expected to be able to be on your feet for the majority of the day. You will have a desk and computer for clerical duties that should take place daily.

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Prior plumbing or technician work experience is helpful. Must have a valid driver's license.
Salary Range: Hourly wages will begin between $22-26 with a review after 180 days.
