Job Overview
This role is responsible for inspecting and cleaning truck bodies at the end of the production process. A general knowledge of detailing and high attention to detail is preferred to ensure Maintainer Corp of Iowa's quality standards are upheld.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize cleaning tools such as vacuums, towels, and cleaning products to remove all debris from the inside of trucks.
- Use a power washer for the undercarriage, scrub brushes, and cleaning products to ensure the outside of trucks meet customer specifications.
- Apply decals and tags according to line drawings and work instructions to ensure operating procedures are followed correctly and DOT regulations are met.
- Partner with the quality team after completion of a unit to ensure a final review of the truck is completed through the utilization of auditing processes.
- Take pictures of completed units according to given reference points for future units and tools for the sales department to utilize.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and wear all required personal protective safety equipment. Work at different workstations as needed.
- Participate in all continuous improvement programs by offering suggestions and exhibiting initiative in areas within direct control.
- Follow all organizational, department/area, safety policies, procedures, and directives as outlined in the Maintainer Employee Handbook and Maintainer Quality Manual.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
