What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Scheduling Specialist position at Majestic Steel USA, Inc.?
We are excited to add a Production Scheduling Specialist to our Hickman Service Center team! This role is responsible for the day-to-day planning and costing of production work orders on internal processing lines. This role will coordinate and communicate production work orders to all pertinent parties. The role will also assist in questions from Plant Manager, Operators, and sales team members.

What you will do
- Plan production jobs accurately and efficiently.
- Cost completed production jobs in a timely manner to allow for outbound shipments.
- Maintain finished goods stocking levels where appropriate.
- Anticipate possible production concerns and work to resolve prior to issues arising.
- Review completed production work orders for data accuracy and report any discrepancies.
- Identify opportunities to make processes more efficient and cut down on production costs through more effective scheduling.
- Identify opportunities to utilize finished goods.
- Other job related duties and special projects as assigned.
Additional
- Must be able to work outside normal business hours/days as needed.
- Must be able to travel occasionally and work at an outside location.
- Steel industry experience, preferably in a service center or processing environment.

Education, Training and Experience Requirements
- Has ability to learn how the ERP system functions and must be able to learn the manufacturing concepts.
- Technologically savvy with experience in MS Office products and Windows-based computer applications.

Salary : $38,300 - $48,500
