Shop Manager Job Description Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly organized HVAC Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our shop and technician trucks. This role is critical to ensuring technicians are equipped with the right tools, parts, and support to complete jobs efficiently and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage inventory of HVAC parts, supplies, and equipment in Technician trucks and in the shop.
- Keeps track of truck maintenance and ensures trucks are ready for Technician use by tracking when they need oil changes, inspections.. etc.
- Assist in maintaining accurate stock levels through regular cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Develop and maintain an organized, clean, and safe shop environment.
- Prepare and stage parts and tools daily for scheduled service calls and installations.
- Coordinate with dispatch and project managers to prioritize job readiness.
- Track returns and receive orders from vendors and manufacturers.
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained, calibrated, and logged properly.
- Supervise shop assistants, assigning duties and managing schedules.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure OSHA/EPA compliance within the shop.
- Maintain proper documentation for refrigerant handling, transport, and disposal.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement systems to streamline shop workflows.
This Role Reports to the Director of Service Operations and the General Manager.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
