SUMMARY :
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing electronic enclosures for aero gas turbine engines. This critical position ensures that enclosure designs meet project requirements from initial concept through qualification testing.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with electronics engineers to create enclosures that meet both electronic and mechanical specifications.
- Develop detailed drawings and model-based definitions to facilitate hardware procurement.
- Lead technical and design reviews, delivering presentations and reports to communicate solutions to project teams and customers.
- Conduct trade studies for new and existing hardware, define functional and physical interfaces, and establish analysis requirements for enclosures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable product certification standards, such as RTCA / DO- and MIL-STD-.
