Job Summary
The Utility Services Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of substation and distribution projects for electric utility and private facility customers. This role ensures projects meet safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
Key Responsibilities
· Responsible for project’s lifecycle from project estimating, preconstruction, construction and close out.
· Work directly with estimating to produce and submit detailed change order requests
· Ensure that projects have the proper manpower, tools, equipment, and materials to complete the project in a safe and timely manner.
· Expense approval and tracking to budget.
· Issue project billings and assist with payment collection when required.
· Monthly work in progress/invoicing reviews with accounting dept.
· Create and maintain project-related records including contracts, change order logs, financial forecasts, and subcontracts.
· Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
· Forecast and track project financial performance
Qualifications and Experience
· 5 years' experience within the electric utility industry managing substation and/or distribution projects.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced Hellertown, Pa office environment with travel as necessary to jobsites and customer’s facilities. Valid driver’s license required
· Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
· Strong understanding of the electric utility systems, specifically substations and distribution.
- Substation and Distribution estimating experience a plus.
