Lead Bookkeeper:
Management Accounting is an established accounting firm seeking an energetic, motivated individual to be a part of our growing team! We provide our individual and business clients with a comprehensive suite of accounting services while working to maintain personal and positive connections both within the office and with our clients. This self-starting, detail-oriented lead bookkeeper would report directly to the owner. This position is 20-30 hours/week year round. Hybrid remote and in-office work an option. Responsibilities for this position include:
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
- Client relationship management.
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and recording of payroll entries.
- Collect information and prepare 1099 forms.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure accurate and timely financial data entry.
Requirements for this position include:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in an accounting field or equivalent professional experience
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Mastery of QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and Excel
- Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and Google Sheets
- Ability to learn new software and general computer proficiency
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
The candidate must be local to Maine, but this position has the possibility of hybrid in-office and remote work after an initial 30-day period of in-office training.
