This individual will be a key supervisor / manager to MSLLC engineering teams.

- Provide engineering and technical support to federal projects, including but not limited to DOE projects in the Oak Ridge area.
- Provide oversight and lead a Management Solutions team to deliver federal client engagements, including technical support, engineering, and project management assistance.
- Provide oversight and lead a Management Solutions team to assist clients with technical and regular reporting requirements.
- Provide oversight and lead a Management Solutions team to assist federal clients with day to day project management tasks.
- Assist federal partners with procurement of materials and equipment developing Statements of Work.
- Assist federal clients with monthly evaluation of manpower projections and personnel tracking.
- Provide financial account reporting and account reconciliation.
- Provide schedule tracking and projections based on client tasks and new initiatives.
- Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or relevant certifications, training, and/or licenses in Business Administration, Government, or related field. Experience in lieu of education may be considered.
- Will need to function as a professional consultant and seek to grow the business and manage engineering teams.
- Ideal candidate will be able to complete the project management role as well as provide engineering oversight, while handling client interfaces. We are seeking a mature project manager and engineer capable of handling the execution of a project while forward-looking into the next opportunities with the same client, or similarly positioned customers.
- Proficient user of MS Office applications (intermediate user of MS Excel and PowerPoint).
- Advanced level understanding of PM principles and engineering best practices.
- Strong analytical/problem resolution skills.
- Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills.
- This is primarily an on-site position in Oak Ridge, TN. Local candidates will be given priority.
- Operational performance (incl. performance test monitoring)

- Risk assessments and mitigation plans
- Environmental review / NEPA
- Work closely with MSLLC engineering team to provide oversight and support of independent engineering assessments for OCED projects
- Oversee other engineers conducting analysis and providing reports
- Providing guidance and advice to more junior engineers
- Liaise with the Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations as needed, providing ad hoc engineering expertise / support to the Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations as needed.
- Provide input and feedback on developing talent pool of engineers for MSLLC
- Lead engineering teams that provide independent technical assessments across clean energy projects
- Provide technical guidance and expertise on procedure development (i.e., procedures guiding project work execution)
- Support strategy development of MSLLC’s long term clean energy project portfolio / strategy
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering plus 10 years of clean energy experience or a master’s degreeplus 8 years of clean energy experience required.
- Experience with evaluating design documentation and project plans for renewable energy projects
- Experience with code committees and / or professional engineering organizations
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, OneDrive, Visio, and SharePoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication with peers and leadership
- Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
- Remote position working in the Eastern time zone is required.
