Essential functions:

• Responsible for keeping assigned areas clean and orderly.
• Maintain and preserve all flooring an/or coverings by sweeping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing and buffing.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and other areas on the center.
• Collect and dispose of all trash, litter and other debris found around the buildings and grounds.
• Keep clean the exterior steps, entrances, landings, interior walls, ceilings, light fixtures and sidewalks.
• Work with compounds, waxes, disinfectants and other cleaning agents.
• Duties may also include, weeding, mowing, trimming, fertilizing, reseeding, or planting.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience as a custodian preferred.
• Must understand basic cleaning compounds, waxes, polishes, disinfectants, etc, and their proper applications.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
