What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Receptionist position at Manchaca Village Veterinary Care?
Manchaca Village Veterinary Care is a high-quality, 5-doctor practice located in far South Austin. Founded in 1975, MVVC is one of the most established and respected animal hospitals in South Austin.
MVVC is looking for a full time receptionist (or as we refer to it, "Client Care Specialists"), to join our team. The ideal candidate must have great communication skills, be friendly, professional, enthusiastic, self-motivated and have the ability to multi-task. This role is for someone with at least 1 year veterinary practice experience.
Technical Requirements
- Answering a multi-line phone system
- Greeting clients and patients in a positive, clear, confident and respectful manner
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- Checking patients in and out
- Collecting fees, processing end-of-day reports and balancing, as well as other clerical duties.
- PC proficiency including email communications and web-based and mobile software applications.
- Attention to detail and adherence to protocol and procedures
- A working knowledge of Infinity vet software a plus (but we will train if not).
- Bi-lingual a plus but not required
- Experience in veterinary reception has highest priority.
