Position Overview:
The Graduate Admissions Advisor is responsible for recruiting prospective students for programs in the health sciences and pharmacy at Manchester University. They will assist with the development, management, and execution of recruitment and enrollment strategies to achieve established enrollment goals. The Graduate Admissions Advisor must align with the University and Office of Graduate Admissions' mission and vision and provide excellent professional and personal service.

Essential job functions:
  • Responsible for recruitment efforts and acting as the primary point of contact for prospective students in assigned programs
  • Managing the planning and coordination of recruitment materials and activities for assigned programs
  • Corresponding with prospective students throughout the recruitment process through email, telephone, and texting
  • Meeting with prospective students and stakeholders on campus
  • Receiving and processing program applications
  • Attending recruitment events to promote programs in the health sciences and pharmacy
  • Utilizing the CRM system (Slate) for the Office of Graduate Admissions
  • Collaborating with faculty and administrators to develop, implement, and assess admission criteria and processes
  • Sharing and analyzing admission data to improve processes and meet strategic goals
  • Collaborating with the Office of Graduate Admissions staff to achieve enrollment goals for programs in the health sciences and pharmacy
  • Providing market input and feedback for marketing materials and advertisements
  • Maintaining a general knowledge base for all programs in the health sciences and pharmacy
  • Contributing to departmental and health sciences program developmental and planning activities
  • Demonstrating a team "can-do" attitude and fostering positive relationships within the university community
  • Representing the university at approved professional organizations in a professional manner
  • Organizing and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Other duties as assigned, based on experience and capacity

Requirements:
  • A commitment to fostering an environment of diversity and inclusion among students, faculty, and staff.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, be willing to travel, read maps, and have reliable, local transportation.
  • Must have the capacity to be flexible, assertive, intuitive, patient, personable, and empathetic.
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office Suite.
  • While not required, mastery of multiple languages is appreciated.


Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with students, parents, faculty, staff, and the public.
  • Previous experience in recruiting a plus, especially if the experience was related to online academic programs.
  • Ability to develop and maintain highly effective relationships both internally and externally.
  • Ability to influence, communicate, respond, and interact with a wide array of individuals.
  • Strong time management, detail orientation, and organizational skills.
  • Solid sense of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.

Work schedule:
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Forty (40) hours per week (8:00 am-5:00 pm) will be the general rule. However, depending on the project cycles and workflow demands of the College, additional hours or workday schedule changes may be required occasionally.
