Bakery Production Supervisor/ Shift Manager
Rotating 3/4 schedule. 3 (12 hour) shifts then 4 days off then 4 days on and 3 days off.
Mancini’s Bakery is a family owned and operated wholesale bread bakery located in McKees Rocks Pennsylvania. We are searching for an experienced, driven, full-time Production Supervisor/ Shift Manager to oversee the overall operation of an assigned shift. This is a salaried position that requires at least 5 years of experience in the field. Hands-on daily management skills are required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the production and packaging teams on assigned shift.
- Maintain GMP and FSMA compliance.
- Monitor product quality and food safety program compliance and maintain required documentation. Including routine and spot inspections of product, raw materials, and equipment used during production or for storage.
- Implement programs to minimize downtime and improve Bakery performance.
- Operate industry specific software and Microsoft Office products (excel, word, outlook)
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) and interact with all departments. (Production, Customer Service, Maintenance, etc.).
- Perform other area functions as necessary to fulfill the objectives of the company.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage time, set priorities, document results and complete all company reporting requirements.
- Adhere to conduct standards consistent with those of the company that reflect professionalism, honesty, and integrity.
Requirements:
- Must be extremely reliable.
- Some Supervisor / Management experience.
- Requires use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and scanners/copiers.
- Tasks require standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing steps and or ladders.
- Tasks require the use of hands and arms, reaching and repetitive motion.
- Must be able to work extended hours and a flexible schedule on short notice in a 24/7 operation.
- Must pass a drug screen, physical and functional capacity test as required by the company.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- High School Diploma / GED or Higher.
Preferred candidates will have some of the following experience:
- Prior experience as Operational Management in a food production/processing/packaging company, preferably related to bakery products.
- Two or more years’ experience in a Commercial Bread Bakery.
- Hands-on Bread Baking experience
