As we continue to grow, we are looking to bring on a Shipping and Receiving Lead for our Lansdale, PA office. The ideal candidate needs to be reliable, a strong communicator and comfortable with utilizing a computer.
Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing all daily activities related to the shipment and receipt of goods within the warehouse. Will ensure compliance with company procedures and quality standards, supervise staff involved in shipping and receiving functions, and maintain accurate inventory and logistical records. Will serve as the main point-of-contact for coordination with other departments including Production, Sales, and Management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling, carrier selection, and documentation. Investigate and resolve shipping issues, delivery delays, inventory discrepancies, or damage claims. Ensure all incoming materials are properly received, documented, inspected, and stored according to company procedures. Verify outgoing shipments for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with labeling and packaging standards. - 40%
- Provide general oversight of shipping and receiving personnel. Participate in hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation of team members. Provide daily oversight and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs). - 20%
- Maintain and reconcile shipping and receiving records within the company’s ERP or warehouse management system. - 10%
- Coordinate regularly with internal teams (e.g., Production, Sales, Management) to support operational efficiency. - 10%
- Monitor and replenish shipping supplies (e.g., boxes, labels, pallets) and report any needs or equipment issues. - 10%
- Ensure that shipping and receiving areas are clean, safe, and compliant with OSHA and company safety policies. Ensure the team is adhering to all equipment safety procedures. - 5%

Minimum Requirements
Education - High school diploma or GED
Experience - 3 years of experience in a shipping and receiving or warehouse environment
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Proficiency with shipping systems (UPS, FedEx, LTL freight)
- Proficient with inventory software or ERP systems
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn Google Suite services
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention-to-detail and organizational skills
- Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
- Skilled in anticipating issues and proactively implementing solutions independently
- Ability to oversee, support and mentor others
- Comfortability handling personnel issues as they arise
- Professional demeanor in working with coworkers, distributors, shipping carriers, retail reps, and clients
Preferred Qualifications
Experience - 1 year in a lead or supervisory role. Experience with Lean, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies
Certifications - Forklift Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Physical Requirements
Will consistently lift, push, and pull up to 20-30 pounds on a frequent basis with up to 50 pounds on occasion. Will consistently be standing, bending, squatting, stooping, and reaching for extended periods of time.
