What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist position at Manhattan-Ogden USD 383?
PERFORMACE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedule and conduct new employee orientation/onboarding for all employees.
- Explain new employee paperwork, various forms, BOE policies, including KPERS and SEC 125 Cafeteria Plan.
- Enter new employee information into data management systems.
- Manage and assist with substitute teacher applications and enroll them in the absence management system.
- Call and offer classified positions to candidates in consultation with the Director of HR.
- Process and track all employee terminations, resignations, and retirements and notify all pertinent departments.
- Create and replace employee badges for all employees as needed.
- Keep a database of all teacher licenses and provide regular notifications to certified staff of upcoming expiration dates.
- Complete the Human Resource Board Report and submit in a timely manner to the Clerk of the Board.
- Send new teacher/certified hire letters as needed.
- Provide quality assistance to employees on HR matters including changes to W-4 and K-4 withholding, and other information as needed.
- Assist and maintain status change/new hire forms as needed.
- Complete forms, reports, notices, and letters with designated information.
- Serve as a Notary.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
- Assist with maintaining and filing all required paperwork.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12-month hourly position. This position is eligible for benefits.
