Core Responsibilities:
- 3D Modeling:
- Utilize SOLIDWORKS to create detailed 3D models relevant to departmental and project needs.
- Prototype creation using Additive and Subtractive manufacturing processes (3D Printing, CNC Mill, Manual Machine Work).
- Fixturing/Device Creation:
- Design and develop fixtures and devices to enhance efficiency and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist Manufacturing Engineer:
- Collaborate with functions within Manufacturing to implement solutions aimed at increasing production efficiency and enhancing operator-machine interactions.
- Currently pursuing a degree in engineering or a related field.
- Strong conceptual understanding of 3D models and dimensioning, preferably with experience in SOLIDWORKS.
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Communication and collaboration skills.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic team environment.
The ideal candidate should have basic proficiency in the following systems:
- SOLIDWORKS
- Machine Shop Safety
- Basic understanding of design and process
- Proficiency in MS Office and Teams
- Full-time: Hybrid Schedule (Onsite Mon–Thu, Remote Fri)
- Location: Danbury, CT
- Dates of Program: June 15 to August 20, 2026
- A reliable commute or the intention to find temporary housing before starting the internship is required.
