Job Title: Laboratory & Site Operations Associate (Contractor)
Location: Onsite
Duration: Approximately 1 year with the possibility to extend (based on performance and business need).
Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
About the Role
We are seeking a Laboratory & Site Operations Associate (Contractor) to support daily laboratory operations and site logistics within the Technical Operations department. This role is critical to maintaining efficient lab services, inventory flow, safety readiness, and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-department environment.
What You’ll Do
Laboratory Operations
- Collect, wash, sterilize, and distribute laboratory glassware
- Maintain inventory of lab consumables and chemical reagents
- Organize and maintain lab storage areas
- Support laboratory safety readiness and periodic inspections
- Provide backup lab support (e.g., buffer preparation, aliquoting, labeling samples) as needed
Site & Warehouse Operations
- Receive, verify, log, and stock incoming inventory
- Match deliveries to packing slips and maintain inventory records
- Track incoming and outgoing shipments
- Support shipping, receiving, and material distribution across departments
- Provide coverage in the warehouse receiving area during core business hours
Coordination & Support
- Deliver inter-departmental mail and supplies
- Provide mail services to and from the front desk
- Assist Facilities and Site Operations teams with site activities and events
- Coordinate with third-party service providers and external vendors
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams and vendors
What We’re Looking For
Required
- High School diploma with 1–3 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and workflows effectively
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred
- Experience with inventory management systems
- Exposure to laboratory environments, basic lab techniques, or lab safety protocols
- Prior experience supporting facilities, warehouse, or technical operations teams
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience using office equipment such as PCs, scanners, copiers, and email systems (or willingness to be trained)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Combination of desk work and movement throughout laboratory and warehouse spaces
- Regular walking between labs and buildings
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Low to moderate noise environment
- Laboratory setting with applicable environmental health and safety requirements
