Server / Service Team Member
Reports to: Food & Beverage Manager(s) / Supervisor(s)
Status: Hourly plus Gratuity
Manufacturers Golf and Country Club Servers / Service Team Members will be responsible for a wide variety of Food & Beverage Service throughout the Club as needed and based on skill set. Servers / Service Team Members will work directly with fellow servers, bartenders, Food & Beverage Managers / Supervisors, Events Manager, and Clubhouse Manager to ensure there is a clear and consistent level of Food & Beverage service provided to both Members and guests. Servers / Service Team Members will ensure that Member and guest expectations, service, and overall dining experiences at Manufacturers Golf and Country Club are maintained daily and consistent with the Manufacturers Golf and Country Club Brand. As a member of the food and beverage team, service team members will help provide an unforgettable dining experience for both Members and their guests.
The two capacities that Servers / Service Team Members work on a daily basis are listed below:
Club Events / Banquets
Banquet Servers will be able to successfully run entire events from set up through completion and breakdown. Banquet Servers will report to the Food & Beverage Manager(s) / Supervisor(s) on the event, communicating and collaborating throughout the event, to ensure proper set up, time line, service and overall Member and Guest experiences that are consistent with the Manufacturers Golf and Country Club Brand.
A la carte Dining
A la carte Service Team Members will be able to successfully work in all dining venues. A la carte Service Team Members will report to the Food & Beverage Manager(s) / Supervisor(s) leading the a la carte area they are working. A la carte Service Team Members will be able to provide Members and guests with an excellent a la carte dining experience that is consistent with the Manufacturers Golf and Country Club Brand. A la carte Service Team Members will communicate and collaborate with the Food & Beverage Manager(s) / Supervisor(s) and Culinary Team to review daily specials, dietary restrictions for Members and guests, as well as any special details or celebrations occurring in the a la carte dining areas. Within the a la carte service, the Service Team Members will work in a variety of positions including Server, Cocktail Server, Server Assistant, and Expo Line. Each area of expertise within the parameters of a la carte service will be taught to the a la carte Service Team Members to promote cross-training and teamwork.
Service Team Members will report daily to the Food & Beverage Manager-On-Duty and corresponding Food & Beverage Supervisor(s), working in all aspects of clubhouse and food and beverage operations.
The goal is to maximize member satisfaction, sales, and revenue through Member and Guest satisfaction and Team Member engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Work / execute daily Food and Beverage operations to the highest standards
- Provide excellent levels of Member and guest service
- Identify Member needs and dietary restrictions, responding proactively to all their concerns.
- Will assist the Hospitality Manager(s) / Supervisor(s) with reaching establishing targets and Key Performance Indications (KPI’s)
- Will practice and abide by all Club policies and procedures
- Provide a two-way communication with all MGCC Team Members and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis on motivation and teamwork
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
- Maintain a positive disposition with Members, guests, and fellow Team members
Requirements:
- Proven food and beverage service experience
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently, being preventative rather than curative
- Ability to multi-task, being able to handle several tables simultaneously
- Communication and collaboration skills
- Familiar with up-to-date food and beverages trends and best practices
- Member / guest-oriented and service-minded.
- A Server’s schedule must be flexible and usually include evenings, weekends and holidays
- A Server is expected to wear the assigned MGCC uniform
