Milk Receiver

SUMMARY: Receives milk from dairy tankers for pasteurizing and processing. Ensures compliance with company and federal quality standards.

Shift: Night Shift

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Receives milk from delivery trucks
• Tests milk to ensure compliance with company and government quality standards
• Assist with standardizing and pasteurizing milk process
• Adhere to food safety policies and all government food safety and sanitation regulations (ex. FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA)
• Utilize the established systems for inventory
• Communicates with Quality Manager, and Production manager on product issues
• Participates with improving workplace safety, reducing waste and improving factory efficiencies
• Cleans and maintains equipment
• Complete all required training in a timely manner
• Performs all other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Process flow knowledge of dairy production

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers
• Basic computer skills including e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheets
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with automated equipment
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure
• Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented nature
• Ability to work with limited supervision

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Require standing, reaching, handling, climbing up and down ladders, scaffolds and other climbing devices, and near and far vision. Ability to lift 75 lb. and push/pull up to 200lbs.
