Manufacturing Facility in Howell (Farmingdale), New Jersey
Basic Function: Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Quality Assurance, is responsible for in-process production of cosmetic products and the inspection, measurement, and documentation of results. This position also is responsible for
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspects in-process finished goods production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
- Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and records data. Inspect and approve/reject finished goods prior to shipment.
- Reporting all discrepancies and quality failures to the QA manager.
- Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management.
- Perform work in accordance with cGMP and GDP standards.
- Innovate beyond the scope of official responsibilities.
- Position includes all other responsibilities that may be necessary to fulfill the duties associated with the position or as may be assigned.
Other Special Requirements: Willing to train the right person that has a strong work ethic and organizational skills. The candidate needs the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, be reliable and punctual, have a positive and professional attitude, have good math and communication skills. Must have effective analytical skills. Attention to detail and accuracy is also important. Must be fluent in English. Physical requirements: Standing about 70 - 90% of the day in normal factory and laboratory conditions, lifting up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- 0 – 1 year in a quality inspection environment. Record keeping knowledge a plus.
- Understand GMP’s, SOP’s, and OSHA regulations.
- AAS degree or inspector certification desirable but not required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
