What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Associate position at MAPP Technologies, LLC?
- Operate machinery as required to assist in the production process.
- Move parts and various materials throughout the facility using a pallet jack, forklift or rolling carts.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers to ensure efficient production and deadlines are met.
- Conduct inspections and quality control of products for defects to ensure quality standards are met by using calipers, micrometers, tape measures and pin gauges.
- Assist in lifting, carrying, and moving heavy loads as required.
- Complete all required training.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing.
- Familiar with production equipment and machine shop machinery
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and comprehend part prints.
- Sharp attention to detail in favor of identifying defects.
- Self-driven and hard worker
- Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Flexible to work shifts, overtime and weekends as required.
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Frequently ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like
- Frequently moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
- Frequently remaining in a stationary position, often standing for prolonged periods
- Frequently moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Frequently adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions
- Occasionally communicating with others to exchange information.
- Occasionally repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Frequently operating machinery and/or power tools
- Frequently operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment
- Frequently assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned
- Occasionally low and high temperatures with outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind
- Occasionally noisy environments
Production associates are responsible for preparing items in a manufacturing facility for distribution along with preparing them for next processes.
