Field Support Driver

Job Description:

The Construction Runner is responsible for supporting jobsite operations by delivering materials, tools, equipment, and documents between the office, suppliers, and various construction sites in a timely and professional manner. This role is critical in maintaining smooth operations and reducing downtime for field crews. The Runner reports to the Project Manager or Field Superintendent.

Job Responsibilities:

• Pick up and deliver materials, tools, and equipment to and from jobsites, vendors, and the main office.
• Transport construction documents (plans, permits, submittals) as needed.
• Coordinate with project teams to fulfill urgent or scheduled delivery needs.
• Assist with basic site setup tasks (e.g., signage placement, material staging) if needed.
• Keep accurate records of pickups, drop-offs, mileage, and receipts.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle and equipment.
• Ensure safe and lawful operation of the vehicle and compliance with all traffic laws.
• Communicate effectively with the field and office teams to prioritize tasks.
• Report vehicle issues, delivery delays, or safety concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and CLEAN DRIVING RECORD.
• Familiarity with local routes, GPS apps, and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Punctual, dependable, and self-motivated.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform light physical tasks.
• Prior construction or delivery experience is a plus but not required.

  MUST SHOW UP! PUNCTUAL!

• 2 years of experience in pre-construction, project coordination, or a similar role DRIVER (construction industry preferred).

• Construction management or equivalent degree

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Reporting to the Project Manager, this is a full-time, in-house position.
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (THIS IS ON SITE POSITION - NO REMOTE WORK)
LOCATION: Oakland, CA (By Oakland Airport)
START: As soon as possible

Compensation: Due Upon Experience & Education
Benefits: Medical / PTO / Vacation, etc. (After 90 days)
Interviews: Afternoons

· Salary range is $47,747 - $55,000 – commensurate with experience

· Full benefits package including PTO, Health, Vision and Dental insurance, and all federal holidays
