Utility Worker

Job Description
Helps keep community and surrounding areas in clean, orderly and well maintained condition by performing the following duties:

• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies. Replaces light bulbs.
• Cuts and trims grass, and/or shovels snow. Assists in maintenance of outside grounds and parking areas which includes but is not limited to picking up litter and keeping walkways and driveways free of debris.
• Delivers messages. Transports small equipment or tools between departments.
• Assists Maintenance Director with maintenance tasks.
• Assists housekeeping staff with heavy cleaning or moving of items.
• Assists in setting up rooms for special events. Helps clean up such areas after events are concluded.

Salary : $40,000 - $60,000
