Job description
MARCH, Inc. of Manchester is a non-profit agency looking to hire experienced hands-on professional Group Home Support Managers to oversee the day to day operation of a home for adults with developmental/intellectual disabilities in Vernon and Willimantic.
Primary Responsibilities:
Providing advocacy for each individual supported based on their personal choices.
Effective hiring, training, evaluation and supervision of direct care staff to provide quality services to the individuals supported by the agency.
Ensuring employee matters are handled per agency policy/ Union Contract.
Managing staff schedule and assuring staffing pattern is followed.
Ensuring a level of presence on all shifts and within home.
Ensuring general operations are maintained in accordance with Connecticut
Department of Developmental Services licensing regulations and MARCH, Inc. policies
and procedures.
Participating in the development and implementation of person centered Individual Plans (IP).
Handling day to day medical and routine house responsibilities.
Managing program budget and maintaining accountability for house and personal funds.
Maintaining positive and cooperative interactions with family, medical providers, consultants, day programs, and administrative staff.
24 hour on call responsibilities.
A BA/BS in human services, social work, psychology or related field is preferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of education. Good verbal and written communication skills, time management and supervision skills are essential.
