This role incorporates life enrichment programs, housekeeping, transporation, and dining services in our wonderful assisted living. This position has primary responsibility for completing delegated tasks associated with the hospitality programming needs of the residents of Margaret Pratt Community.

This position qualifies for a $1000.00 signing bonus. (conditions apply)

Activities:

  • Assist the Resident Services Director to develop and implement a schedule of social activities to strengthen and enhance the social, physical, and mental skills of the residents.
  • Work with Resident Services Director to plan, create, and publish the activity calendar and newsletter monthly for distribution to the residents and staff.
  • Initiate motivation of residents to increase desire to participate in activities, while being aware of limitations of each resident.
  • Supervise and participate in activities, which includes preparations, participation, clean up, and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Handle incoming phone calls, greet and assist residents and visitors entering the building.
  • Respond to resident needs for assistance, as appropriate.
  • Utilizes the PointClickCare system to track resident attendance to activities.

Transportation:

  • Assists residents onto and off community vehicle.
  • May be required to provide limited assistance for some residents at their destination.
  • Keeps vehicle clean and fueled and does regular safety checks inside and outside.
  • Coordinates with Resident Services Director for scheduling maintenance appointments for community vehicle.

Housekeeping:

  • Clean resident apartments as needed through each week. This includes bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms and living/dining areas and floors.
  • Clean all common areas and offices in Margaret Pratt Community at least weekly.
  • Identify potential maintenance issues and submit work orders.
  • Demonstrate safe and proper techniques for use of chemicals and cleaning solutions.
  • Responsible for obtaining cleaning supplies, stocking cart and maintaining clean, neat and orderly cart and storage area.

Dining Services:

  • Set or reset each table properly, as shown on the table setting layout.
  • Greet residents cordially and take their order within a time frame of 3 minutes after they have been seated.
  • Review menu with residents and present any special items of the day.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders.
  • Retrieve food orders from kitchen and serve complete meal to all residents in the dining room in a timely fashion.
  • Perform side work correctly as assigned according to the side work procedure guidelines and to the level required on the sanitation checklist.
  • Clear dirty dishes in a timely manner from all tables.
  • Utilize the PointClickCare system to track resident meals.
  • Performance of dish-washing procedures.

Miscellaneous:

  • Offers support and assistance to other departments as directed and needed.
  • Maintains organization and cleanliness of work areas.
  • Reports defective equipment to the Facilities Manager.
  • Reports any safety hazards in resident apartments immediately.
  • Participates in required staff training.
  • Maintains professional confidentiality regarding residents and community.
  • Maintains a consistent level of professionalism with residents, family members and staff.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Resident Services Director, Dining Services Director, or their designee.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
